satisfactory: server.storage stays the documented exception (#39)
Walks back the one part of the previous commit that changed rendered output:
storage was pulled into the server fallback, so an erased size fell back to
20Gi instead of rendering a PVC without one.

values.schema.json had documented the opposite decision - "an erased value
yields an invalid PVC rather than a silently degraded workload" - and that is
someone's reasoned trade, not collateral of the nil-pointer bug next to it.
Overturning it inside a patch would have made this the only release where
valid values render differently, and it would have settled an open design
question in a PR nobody opened for that. It goes to #39 instead.

So storage is out of the defaults again and the schema note is restored
verbatim, extended only by where the exception is argued. values.yaml marks
it as the one key of the block that is deliberately not null-safe. The
README rule that had leaned on this example now says the thing that actually
holds: an exception is fine, an unmarked one is not.

Everything else stands - dev and server null-safe, the single-key findings on
the ports, formatNumber against exponential notation, 7.0.1.

Re-measured after the walk-back: rendered output against the chart defaults
and against a full override set is byte-identical to 7.0.0, NOTES.txt
included, and "--set server=null" now renders exactly the sizeless PVC that
"--set server.storage=null" rendered on 7.0.0.

Render the body of a container "resources:" block from a values dict of the form
resources:
limitFactor: 3 # optional, default 3
requests: { cpu, memory, ephemeral-storage / ephemeralStorage, ... }
limits: { ... } # optional, every entry optional
Rules (variant B, see issue #19):
- requests are rendered as given (camelCase "ephemeralStorage" is normalized
to the Kubernetes key "ephemeral-storage").
- an explicitly set limit always wins.
- a missing memory / ephemeral-storage limit is computed as
limitFactor x the corresponding request.
- a missing cpu limit is NOT set at all (the kubelet then treats CPU as
unlimited; CPU is compressible, so this cannot kill the workload).

Merge a user-supplied values sub-tree onto a dict of chart defaults so that a
null / empty override falls back to the defaults instead of erasing them.
Input: dict "defaults" <dict> "given" <dict|nil> "path" <string, optional
values path used in error messages>. Output: YAML of the merged dict (consume
it with fromYaml).
Why this exists (issue #99): Helm merges values maps recursively, but an
override key written without children — e.g. a leftover
securityContext:
after deleting its last remaining sub-key — is YAML null. Where the chart
defines a default, Helm treats that null as a deletion of the default; the
template then renders "securityContext: null": no readOnlyRootFilesystem, no
dropped capabilities, no allowPrivilegeEscalation: false. The workload starts
and reports healthy while being unhardened, so nothing points at the mistake.
The same shape erases a probe (it disappears) or the resources block (no
requests, no computed limits). This helper defines the opposite semantics: an
empty block means "chart defaults apply".
Rules:
- a nil "given" is treated as an empty dict (all defaults apply).
- a key whose override value is null keeps the default (nulls never delete).
- a key present in both as a map is merged recursively, so a partially
filled block only overrides the keys it actually sets.
- a scalar override for a key the defaults define as a map is rejected with
a message naming the values path, instead of failing later with a template
field error.
- any other set value wins as given, including an explicit false or 0 —
Helm's "default" and sprig's "mergeOverwrite" would both swallow those
zero values, hence the explicit kindIs "invalid" nil check.
- keys only present in the override are passed through unchanged.
NOTE: like the helpers above, this is duplicated into every chart's
templates/_helpers.tpl with the chart's name as define prefix, because charts
in this repo deliberately have no dependencies.

Like teamspeak-server, this chart keeps these blocks at the TOP level of
values.yaml, so the paths in the error messages have no chart-name prefix.
Probe specifics that a rebuilt default must not lose:
- liveness and startup run the image's own healthcheck script via exec. It
queries the server's HTTPS API on SERVERGAMEPORT, so it keeps working when
the port is overridden - which a tcpSocket default could not do.
- readiness uses the named "api" port.
- the startup budget is deliberately huge (30s x 40 = 20 minutes): the
server downloads and updates the game files via Steam on first start.

The effective server block (Gitea issue #16, the rest of #99).
"--set server=null" used to abort the render at .Values.server.replicas, and a
single erased sub-key was worse than that: it rendered silently. A nulled
server.gamePort produced a Service with "port:" and "nodePort:" empty and a
StatefulSet with an empty containerPort — a manifest the API server rejects
only at apply time. Those now fall back to the documented defaults instead.
TWO keys are deliberately NOT defaulted here.
server.resources, because it already runs through
satisfactory.effectiveResources, which carries its own defaults and is
null-safe on its own; repeating limitFactor/4Gi/1/5Gi here would create a
third place for them to drift apart.
server.storage, because values.schema.json documents the opposite decision
for it on purpose: an erased size must yield an invalid PVC that fails at
apply time rather than a workload quietly sized by the chart. An erased
"server:" therefore still renders a PVC without a size — deliberately, not by
oversight. That exception is worth re-examining, but it is someone's reasoned
decision and not a bugfix's to overturn; it is negotiated in Gitea issue #39.
Both rely on the same mechanic: keys the defaults do not mention are passed
through by satisfactory.defaultedDict unchanged, so an erased "server:" leaves
them unset and whatever consumes them downstream decides what that means.
The defaults below MUST stay in sync with the server block in values.yaml,

The image only offers the negative switch, so the chart negates the positive
value here — that is the whole point of the rename: the key says what it does
and the env var keeps the name the image expects.
Go's "not" cannot do this: it treats every non-empty string as true, so the
string form "false" (which fleet bundles habitually write for booleans, and
which the schema therefore accepts) would flip the wrong way. Hence the
explicit comparison — and an explicit fail for anything that is neither, so a
