One Garage node with replication_factor = 1, built from template-chart to the style guide rather than copied from upstream's in-tree chart (Gitea #81). The single-node trade is deliberate and its price is named at the value: the factor applies to the metadata as well, where upstream calls a corrupted database "generally not recoverable" and a replicated volume replicates the corruption faithfully. The three countermeasures that work at factor 1 are therefore mandatory, not optional - metadata_fsync = true (off in Garage's defaults), the automatic metadata snapshots, and those snapshots on a second PVC. Storage: PVC 1 carries metadata_dir AND data_dir as two subdirectories, because volume snapshots are atomic per volume and that is what keeps index and blocks consistent with each other; PVC 2 carries metadata_snapshots_dir, because a recovery point must not die with the volume whose corruption it should repair. Garage creates all three directories itself, which matters because the image is FROM scratch and has no mkdir. Two corrections to the approved plan, both verified against the source at tag v2.4.1 and decided on the issue before implementation: - The RPC secret arrives as GARAGE_RPC_SECRET via secretKeyRef, not through rpc_secret_file. The file form cannot work in a non-root pod: read_secret_file rejects any mode with a group or other bit set (src/garage/secrets.rs:144, mask 0o077) while the kubelet OR-s the group-read bit onto every file of a secret volume once fsGroup is set (pkg/volume/volume_linux.go), and Kubernetes can set the group of such a file but never its owner. The mechanism is documented at the value so the next round does not "fix" it back. - The first start is done by the server, not by hand: garage server --single-node creates the layout in-process before any listener opens, is idempotent on the layout version and has no --version argument that could be reused, and --default-access-key/--default-bucket import key and bucket FROM the vault item. Both premises of the original "manual first start" decision fell with that. Probes follow from the same source reading: readiness is GET /health on the admin port, which answers 503 while no layout exists; liveness and startup are a TCP connect, because a probe that can only fail would restart a node waiting for its layout forever (same lesson as zipline, README 12.3). The S3 listener binds independently of the layout, so a TCP probe on 3900 would have been the lie the plan warned about. CI: fixtures under ci/garage/ rather than an exclusion - with --single-node the pod reaches Ready on its own, which makes the install-test an assertion about the layout, the one-PVC subdirectory layout and readOnlyRootFilesystem instead of a formality. The Renovate block carries a regex versioning anchored to ^v<major>.<minor>.<patch>$, because the registry receives 40-character commit-SHA tags almost daily (measured 2026-10-03: the newest 22 tags are all of that kind) and the four v1.99.x-internal builds sort above the v1.3.x line. paperless-ngx cannot run without a Redis - PAPERLESS_REDIS is the Celery broker - so every installation needed a second Helm release whose address lived in a 1Password item and in neither chart. This adds our own published valkey chart as an optional dependency, off by default and gated on valkeySubchart.enabled (not valkey.enabled, which the subchart's strict schema rejects and which Helm would only have complained about for whoever first switched it on). Additive, default behaviour unchanged: minor, 12.1.3+up3.2.1 -> 12.2.0+up3.2.1. Configured as a QUEUE (PVC + noeviction, the subchart's defaults), unlike stalwart's cache. Read off the 3.2.1 source rather than assumed: one PAPERLESS_REDIS url serves five consumers - the Celery broker, the result backend (Redis in 3.x, the database before), the channels pub/sub layer and two Django caches. allkeys-lru would not be a trade here but actively wrong, because LRU evicts typeless across the whole keyspace and a backlog of waiting consume tasks is exactly what it reads as cold; a dropped task is a document silently never processed. The price, named in values.yaml rather than smoothed over: two of the five consumers are caches, so a full instance refuses writes - new tasks included - and the answer is memory sizing, not a policy change. All three cache-like consumers are TTL-bounded, which is what keeps that price small. The password comes from the SAME item as the Redis connection, in a third field auth-conf holding the complete line "requirepass <password>". It cannot DEFAULT to secrets.redisSecretRef, and that is a property of Helm, not an omission: a values.yaml is never templated and a parent cannot compute a subchart's value. Measured - a template expression there lands verbatim in the subchart's itemPath and fails as a YAML parse error naming neither the value nor the cause. Forgetting it is therefore caught in values.schema.json, by a conditional rule rather than a fail() in a template. Also measured, and the reason: Helm renders a subchart's templates BEFORE the parent's, so a guard in this chart loses the race to the subchart's own required(), which reports "secrets.authSecretRef" and cannot know the path belongs to the redis item. A check that cannot fire is the mistake found while testing #77, so the first draft of that guard was removed rather than shipped. The schema runs before any rendering and names /valkey/secrets/authSecretRef. One trap found while testing and closed here: "valkeySubchart: null" DELETES the key, Helm then cannot resolve the condition path and treats the dependency as ENABLED - so erasing the switch turned the subchart on with no password set. Unlike every other block in this chart (issue #99), that one is rejected by the schema instead of defaulting. The install-test now runs with the subchart ON and the throwaway redis Deployment removed: the url in the fixtures names ci-valkey-service, so the bundled Valkey is the broker the release actually uses. #65 covered this path by a render only - deliberately, since an unused Valkey would have made that test look like it covered clustering. This is the first real installation of the valkey-subchart path. Documented, not glossed: the password now sits in that item twice and a rotation has to touch both fields; with the subchart on the vault url is a mandatory step, not a hint; and a OnePasswordItem materializes every field of its item, so both Secrets carry all three keys - untidy, harmless, and written down so nobody "tidies it up". feat(stalwart): new chart for the Stalwart mail server
Cluster-capable from the start, with roles rather than symmetry: one StatefulSet per entry of the "nodes" map, the key passed in STALWART_ROLE. Since v0.16 Stalwart keeps its whole configuration inside the data store and manages it over JMAP, so the chart's scope is deliberately narrow: it renders config.json (exactly the DataStore object), the workloads, the Services, the NetworkPolicies, the Ingress and a cert-manager Certificate. Listeners, blob store, in-memory store, TLS object and cluster roles are operator work in the WebUI, which is why NOTES.txt carries an eight-step first install. config.json stays secret-free: authSecret uses the EnvironmentVariable variant (verified against the serde definition of PostgreSqlStore at v0.16.24), so the password arrives through secretKeyRef and checksum/config stays meaningful. The username cannot follow it - authUsername is a plain String with no secret form - so it is a public value and says so. Services are per PORT, not per group: a NodePort is cluster-unique, so "full" and "mx" can only accept SMTP behind one Service, selected through a per-port pod label. The http port gets a per-group ClusterIP Service instead, so the Ingress reaches exactly ingress.nodeGroup. Four traps, documented rather than explained away: - The role lookup FAILS OPEN. A node whose ClusterRole is missing from the database enables every listener and every task while staying Running with a green probe, and the log line arrives after the listeners are bound. Hence mx at replicas 0, per-port Services, and a NetworkPolicy that is a ceiling independent of what was bound. - NET_BIND_SERVICE is a documented deviation needed to EXEC, not to bind. The image sets setcap cap_net_bind_service=+ep, which makes the kernel fail execve when the bounding set is empty. The values comment says both why it is there and that it is never used, because the second half is what stops the next hardening pass from removing it. - externalTrafficPolicy must be Cluster - no pod runs on a control-plane node while the HA proxy delivers to them, so Local would drop every packet - and the source address that costs is restored only by the HA proxy's PROXY v2 header. - /healthz is rate-limited to 100 requests/60s per source IP, which is a node IP for kubelet probes, so all pods on a node share one bucket. The probe intervals are calculated (6 req/min/pod, ~16 pods per node) and the sum is a comment in values.yaml. A first install needs bootstrap.enabled: true: the setup wizard appears only when config.json is ABSENT, and this chart always renders one, so recovery mode is upstream's documented path for a templated config.json. Second chart in the repo with a dependency - the Valkey project's own chart, off by default behind condition:, because Stalwart's cluster coordinator rides on the in-memory store connection. The render aborts when more than one pod runs with no in-memory store address anywhere. Also wired up: publish-stalwart.yml through the shared block in workflow-util/pipelines, the change-app-version.yml choice list, a Renovate customManagers block anchored on the v prefix (which excludes the moving latest / v0.16 / -alpine tags), CI fixtures, and the README and CLAUDE.md lines that claimed ytdlp-web-player was the only chart with a dependency. Verified locally: ci/helm-dependencies.sh, helm lint --strict (0 failed), helm package, helm template against chart defaults and against ci/stalwart/test-values.yaml, the rendered config.json parsed as JSON with the field types the serde definition requires, ci/run-quantity-render-test.sh (0 failed, both nodes.*.resources paths exercised), NOTES.txt rendered through a scratch ConfigMap, and the null-safety and fail paths (securityContext=null keeps NET_BIND_SERVICE; a cluster without an in-memory store, an unknown port name, a group without http and an unknown ingress.nodeGroup all abort with a named message; the schema rejects timeout, a string timeoutMs and a list-shaped nodes). NO runtime verification was possible - there is no k3d or Docker daemon in this workspace. Part of #65 |

Make the all-charts install-test repeatable, as one shared job

The install-test matrix follows the charts a pull request changes, so a chart nobody has touched since the forge move carries a green history from a different runner - and that green says nothing about today. Gitea PR #48 showed what the answer is worth: correcting a comment in 21 charts made every one of them "changed" and turned the run into the first all-charts install-test after the move, 19 of 20 matrix charts Ready in 12m41s and exactly one not (rss-bridge, Gitea #51). By accident. The install-test job moves into the reusable .github/workflows/ install-test.yml and is called twice: by validate-charts.yml with the charts a pull request changed, and by the new install-test-all-charts.yml with all of them. Not copied for the second caller - a second copy is a second chance to test differently, unnoticed, which is the argument that gives ci/excluded-charts.txt exactly one parser. The parts that would drift are the ones that were paid for once already: the pinned kubectl with its skew check, envsubst, the containerised-job detection, the per-leg cluster name. Nothing about how a chart is installed changed. The moved job differs from its predecessor in the matrix source (inputs.charts instead of the detect job's output), an id on the install step, and a step that records the result; every other step is byte-identical. The all-charts run is workflow_dispatch only - a schedule would spend compute every day on a question that changes rarely - with an optional subset input, which is what lets a single chart be tested against the runner as Gitea #51 needs. One throwaway cluster per chart, no reuse: reuse saves time and changes what the test proves. An unknown or excluded chart name, and an empty matrix, are loud errors rather than a green run over nothing. Every leg writes its own outcome into the job summary next to the four facts that decide what the outcome means - date, runner label, K3S_IMAGE, kubectl version - and a final job records the verdict over the matrix. A green run nobody notes is unknown again next time. The excluded charts appear with their justification, from the one parser, as in the pull request pipeline. 20 charts in 12m41s is written down as the expectation, so a later deviation is visible as one. Publish Helm Chart with patched Application Version / publish-helm-chart (push) Successful in 7s
Publish Valkey Helm Chart / Publish Valkey Helm Chart (push) Successful in 7s
A new chart for a single Valkey instance per application, replacing the
shared cluster-redis whose separation rests on one ACL file in one
1Password field - a construction in which every change touches six
applications and which cost a month of Paperless standstill.
Shape: StatefulSet with one replica, ClusterIP Service, no cluster mode,
no Ingress and no value to add one.
The password arrives as a finished configuration line ("requirepass
<secret>") in the 1Password field auth-conf, is mounted as a file and
included by the main configuration - never in argv, never in the
environment. The include is rendered last, so nothing in extraConfig can
override it. Because a misspelled or empty field would leave an open
server that looks perfectly healthy, an init container greps the mounted
file for the line and refuses to start the pod without it; it never
prints the file.
maxmemory is derived from the computed memory limit (maxmemoryFactor,
default 0.75) and a configured value above that limit aborts the render:
otherwise the kubelet's OOM kill decides what the eviction policy was
configured to decide. Persistence and eviction are documented as pairs -
queue (PVC + noeviction, the default) and cache (emptyDir +
allkeys-lru) - and the combination "no persistence + noeviction" carries
a warning in values.yaml and in NOTES.txt.
Probes: valkey-cli ping as an exec probe, authenticated through
VALKEYCLI_AUTH read out of the mounted file, with "-e" and an assertion
on the answer PONG. Without -e valkey-cli exits 0 on an error reply
(valkey 9.1.2, src/valkey-cli.c: the config.set_errcode branch in
cliReadReply), which would make the probe unable to fail.
Hardening: uid 999 / gid 1000 - the image's own valkey user - with
fsGroup matching, runAsNonRoot, readOnlyRootFilesystem, all capabilities
dropped and seccompProfile RuntimeDefault in the pod context so the init
container is covered too. /data is the only writable path.
NetworkPolicy on by default (first chart in this repo with one), with a
switch and a list of additional namespaces; values.yaml names that it is
only a boundary where the CNI enforces policies.
Wiring: publish-valkey.yml, the chart-name choice list, ci/valkey
fixtures for the persistent variant, a plain docker-versioning Renovate
block, README chart row.

sure: fix the readiness probe, the ephemeral-storage budget and HOME
Second install-test run, three findings, all measured: - Readiness on "/" failed with "http: server gave HTTP response to HTTPS client" on a pod that was answering correctly. The kubelet's HTTP prober follows redirects to the same host, and with RAILS_ASSUME_SSL=true the app builds its redirect as https://<pod-ip>:3000/registration/new, which Puma does not speak. The probe now runs curl without -L and accepts 2xx-3xx itself. The same log also proves what the probe is for: against an empty database the redirect target was /registration/new, the branch User.count decides, so the path really does reach Postgres. - The pod was evicted within two minutes of every start: "ephemeral local storage usage exceeds the total limit of containers 60Mi". emptyDirs and the stdout log both count there, and the image rebuilds its Bootsnap cache under /rails/tmp on every start because the emptyDir hides the one baked into the image. The request is now 256Mi (limit 768Mi) per app container - headroom, not a measurement. - /home/rails is read-only, so Bundler created a throwaway home under TMPDIR on every invocation, worker probe included. HOME now points at a directory the init container creates. The CI postgres fixture gets -d sure on its readiness probe, so the server stops logging a missing database that nothing asked for. |

sure: new chart for the we-promise Sure app (1.0.0+up0.7.4)
One StatefulSet with two containers - the Puma web process and a Sidekiq worker - sharing one ReadWriteOnce PVC at /rails/storage. That shared volume is the reason they live in one pod: splitting them would need an RWX volume. Only the web container migrates, because the image entrypoint runs db:prepare solely for the './bin/rails server' command; the worker is started through args: so the entrypoint (and its jemalloc preload) stays in place and the two can never race. Probes are chosen for what they prove: liveness and startup use Rails' /up, which is a boot check and touches no database, while readiness uses '/', which runs User.count through authenticate_user! in self-hosted mode and therefore fails while Postgres is unreachable. The worker speaks no HTTP, so all three of its probes ask sidekiqmon whether this pod still holds a Sidekiq heartbeat in Redis. Three OnePasswordItem CRs (app, database, redis), ingress.domain kept required outside the Ingress because APP_DOMAIN and the WebAuthn relying party read it, strict values.schema.json, CI fixtures with throwaway Postgres 16 and Redis, and a Renovate manager on semver so the -alpha/-rc/-hotfix channel and the moving tags are never selected. |

The branch predates the Gitea move (#253) by 37 commits and both sides touched the same two files. Merged rather than rebased, so the signed commit of the original work stays intact, and resolved by combining rather than choosing - both statements are true at once: the chart has ten images now, and the repo lives on Gitea. README.md, the one real conflict: this branch rewrote the freesailarr image bullet from nine upstreams to ten, while main had grown a minecraft-server bullet next to it that this branch never had. Kept both - our "ten" wording and main's new bullet. renovate.json5 merged cleanly, but "cleanly" is not "correctly", so the result was read rather than trusted: the freesailarr exception now says ten and gained the pointer to the mediathekarr digest block, while the two things main added right beside it survived unchanged - the note that the post-upgrade hook is allow-listed on the shared Gitea instance, and the forge-neutral wording of the automerge rule. Nothing from before the move brought "GitHub" back into a sentence that had been made neutral. |

freesailarr: MediathekArr as the tenth container, off by default (3.1.0+up1.0.0)
MediathekArr fakes a Usenet indexer towards Prowlarr and a SABnzbd downloader towards Sonarr/Radarr and fetches from the ARD and ZDF media libraries. Both consumers already share gluetun's network namespace, so they reach it over 127.0.0.1 - no service, no DNS, no ingress detour. Purely additive: the flag defaults to false and a default render is byte-identical to 3.0.5 (verified against the previous chart for both the default values and the CI values). The four things that fail silently without them: - A START GATE on gluetun. MediathekArr fetches its ruleset once at start and never retries; started before the tunnel it answers every Newznab search with 0 results while the container is up, Ready and quiet. Kubernetes cannot order two regular containers and an initContainer would deadlock, so the wait sits in front of the image entrypoint: poll gluetun's health server on 127.0.0.1:9999 and exec the entrypoint afterwards; on timeout the container exits rather than starting blind, because a crash loop is visible and an empty indexer is not. The startup probe budget (300s) deliberately outlasts the gate (180s). - incomplete/ AND complete/ ON THE SHARED DOWNLOADS CLAIM, not in an emptyDir. An emptyDir counts against the container's ephemeral-storage limit, and one large download would have the kubelet evict the whole pod with all ten containers - the trap ytdlp-web-player documents. - THE COMPLETE PATH SONARR SEES. The claim is mounted at /downloads exactly as sonarr/radarr mount it, and the chart sets DOWNLOAD_COMPLETE_PATH itself, so the SABnzbd complete_dir it reports is the same absolute path on both sides. - TWO PORTS: 5007 (SABnzbd role and UI, primary) and 5008 (Newznab role for Prowlarr), both declared to gluetun's firewall and both on one Service. The SABnzbd API is at /download/api - /api on 5007 answers with a misleading Newznab validation error. Further details: - Image pinned by digest (tag + digest): "latest" is a 2024 build, "beta" moves. Single-arch linux/amd64. The built-in helm-values manager cannot follow that pair, so renovate.json5 gets the chart's first customManagers block; verified by dry-run with two fixtures, since a matching and a broken rule look identical while the pin is current. - Hardened as measured: non-root, uid/gid from puid/pgid, readOnlyRootFilesystem: true, all capabilities dropped, no PUID/PGID. - Probes on measured 200 endpoints (there is no health endpoint): readiness and startup on /download/, liveness as an exec covering BOTH ports, because one container runs two processes and a wedged Newznab half is exactly what makes searches come back empty. - No ingress by default: the UI links its assets with root-absolute paths, so it can only be served at the root of a host; on the shared domain that root belongs to seerr. A sub-path fails the render instead of producing a broken UI. - values.yaml and NOTES.txt document the geo MARKER PROCEDURE (not a table of series), the escape route of a German exit and its price for the whole stack, the fail_message: null trap, and the HLS question as an open question. - CI: mediathekarr enabled in ci/freesailarr/test-values.yaml, install timeout raised to 1200s for the extra image and the gate. ci: drop excluded charts from the install-test matrix
A chart in ci/excluded-charts.txt got an install-test job that ran the script, printed SKIP and exited 0. GitHub knows only the exit code, so the check list showed "Install-test satisfactory OK" for a chart whose image was never pulled - indistinguishable from one that really came up in the cluster (#231). detect-changed-charts now removes those charts before the matrix is built, so no job exists for them and nothing claims they passed. An absence says nothing by itself, so the detect job writes every excluded chart of the PR with its documented justification into the job summary. A "Skipped" would only say "not run"; the reason is the question a review actually asks. The list is not parsed in YAML. The workflow calls ci/run-install-test.sh --list-excluded, the one parser, and compares whole strings with jq, so a chart name is never read as a pattern. The script's own exclusion branch now goes through the same excluded_reason() helper instead of a grep that used the chart name as a regex; it stays for local runs, where the CI filter does not apply. Not viable, and recorded at the matrix as a comment: deciding per chart in an "if" on the install-test job, which would give a visible Skipped entry instead of an absent one. GitHub rejects it - jobs.<id>.if is evaluated before the matrix is expanded, so the matrix context does not exist there ("context \"matrix\" is not allowed here. available contexts are \"github\", \"inputs\", \"needs\", \"vars\"."). Run 33650724109 on the closed PR #233 ended in failure with zero jobs created. |

ci: parse the exclusion list in exactly one place
Two consumers read ci/excluded-charts.txt: this script and the install-test matrix in validate-charts.yml, which has to drop excluded charts before the matrix is built (#231). Two parsers would be two chances to select different charts, and the disagreement would be silent in either direction. So the script grows a --list-excluded mode and the workflow will call it instead of re-implementing the parsing. A line carrying only a chart name and no justification is deliberately not an exclusion: the README requires the reason, and a bare name would drop a chart out of CI with nothing to review. The reason lookup matches the name exactly instead of as a regex, so a chart name is never read as a pattern. The workflow side is not part of this commit. |

minecraft-server: move to the java25 line (4.1.0+up2026.8.2.java25)
Minecraft 26.2 requires Java 25, so the chart's default minecraft.version can only be raised on a java25 image. appVersion becomes 2026.8.2-java25 - the same dated upstream release the java21 line ships, so the only variables that change are the JVM and the Minecraft version. The chart version stays at 4.1.0: the Java lines are siblings of one chart generation, not successors, and are told apart by the +up suffix. The Java boundaries in the values.yaml / NOTES.txt comments are read off Mojang's version manifest (javaVersion.majorVersion per release), not estimated: 1.21.11 is the last release asking for Java 21, every release from 26.1 on asks for Java 25. |

ytdlp-web-player: new chart with an optional oauth2-proxy subchart (1.0.0+upv1.2.0)
Deploys matszwe02/ytdlp_web_player, a Flask app that fetches videos with
yt-dlp, transcodes them with ffmpeg and serves them as HLS. It ships no
authentication of any kind, so the chart carries a preconfigured oauth2-proxy
as an optional subchart, in the data path in front of the app.
This is the first chart in the repo with a dependency, so the rule "charts
have no dependencies" falls here. It is replaced in CLAUDE.md and README.md by
a bar: a dependency has to be optional and off by default, upstream's chart is
consumed as it comes (documented where it falls short of our conventions,
never patched), and the price is written down - above all that a subchart is
invisible to everything downstream watching Helm release versions, so a new
proxy release only reaches a cluster when this chart is republished.
CI learns the dependency in five places, not the three the plan expected:
helm lint, package, template and install all exit 1 while charts/ is unfilled,
so ci/helm-dependencies.sh runs before lint and package in validate-charts.yml,
before package in publish-helm-chart.yml, and inside run-install-test.sh,
run-trivy-config.sh and run-quantity-render-test.sh - the last of which renders
every chart on every PR and would have gone red first.
Notable chart decisions, each measured rather than assumed:
- The image has no USER and runs as root by default, but not by necessity: it
runs under an arbitrary uid with readOnlyRootFilesystem and the full
hardening baseline. Only the pinned uid is a deviation, and it is documented.
- Two emptyDirs, each justified separately. /data holds the video cache
(DATA_PATH). /tmp is NOT mounted - measured across metadata extraction, HLS
transcoding, sprite generation and audio extraction, the image never writes
there. What it does write is $HOME/.cache, so /cache is mounted with HOME and
XDG_CACHE_HOME pointed at it; without it yt-dlp re-downloads its JavaScript
challenge-solver from github.com on every extraction.
- The proxy is wired through config.configFile, the only value the subchart
passes through tpl - config.upstreams is emitted with toJson and would carry

ci: guard resource quantities against exponential notation
Adds ci/run-quantity-render-test.sh and a validate-charts job that runs it over every chart on every PR. The bug behind #157 has a loud and a silent half. Loud: a bare integer request of 1048576 is reformatted by printf "%v" to "1.048576e+06", the helper rejects the suffix it produced itself and the render aborts. Silent: with a fractional limitFactor the *product* is reformatted after the suffix check, the render succeeds, and the manifest carries memory: "1.4999985e+06" - rejected by nothing until the API server sees it at apply time. So the test renders each chart twice and, for the silent case, searches the rendered text rather than the exit code. It runs over all charts, not the changed ones: the resources helper is copied into every chart's _helpers.tpl, so the regression arrives by copy, in a PR whose diff shows a new chart and not the bug inside it. The resources paths come from values.schema.json (JSON, so python3 reads it without pyyaml), which also means a new chart is enrolled automatically and there is no list to maintain. Charts that pin every computable limit in their fallback defaults never reach the helper (gotenberg, rss-bridge). They are reported as "not exercised" instead of counted as passing. |

bentopdf: new chart for the PDF toolbox (1.0.0+up2.8.7)
BentoPDF computes entirely in the visitor's browser; the container only serves static files through nginx. The chart is therefore close to cyberchef - same nginx-unprivileged base, uid 101, port 8080, probes on "/" - with four differences that shaped the design. Runtime config.json. The one setting reachable at runtime is the tool list. It is a static file in the middle of the web root, so it is mounted by subPath: a directory mount would hide the whole application. subPath mounts are never refreshed by the kubelet, which makes the checksum/config annotation (#82) load-bearing rather than decorative. bentopdf.config is passed through verbatim, like searxng's settings, so a key upstream adds tomorrow is a values change and not a chart change. Three env switches that would kill the pod. PORT, DISABLE_IPV6 and ROBOTS_NOINDEX are implemented as "sed -i" against files in the image, run under "set -e" in /docker-entrypoint.d/, and the base image's entrypoint aborts when one of them fails. With readOnlyRootFilesystem: true the pod therefore never starts instead of ignoring the switch - measured in k3d as CrashLoopBackOff, exit 1, "sed: can't create temp file '/etc/nginx/nginx.confXXXXXX': Read-only file system". None of the three is offered as a first-class value; values.yaml names the failure picture and the escape hatch (env block plus readOnlyRootFilesystem: false). Writable paths were measured, not copied from the upstream chart. /etc/nginx/tmp holds the pid file and /var/cache/nginx is where nginx creates its temp directories at startup - without it the master aborts with 'mkdir() "/var/cache/nginx/client_temp" failed'. /var/run is deliberately not mounted: the running pod proves it is unnecessary. Everything else about BentoPDF is a build-time argument and out of reach for any chart; values.yaml says so explicitly rather than leaving it to be discovered. Two accepted consequences are named there too: some tools fetch WASM modules from a public CDN at runtime, and the served pages carry a canonical link to the vendor's site. Fixes #174 |

searxng: new chart (1.0.0+up2026.8.22.9fea41204)
SearXNG as a stateless Deployment plus a settings ConfigMap, with the four CI steps a new chart needs: publish workflow, change-app-version choice list, ci/searxng/ fixtures and a renovate.json5 block. Three points where the chart is not a cyberchef with another name: * The image entrypoint writes settings.yml into /etc/searxng only when the file is missing. The chart always mounts one by subPath, so the copy and the random-secret sed never run and the container needs no write access there - which is what allows readOnlyRootFilesystem: true. * The signing key is a required OnePasswordItem, not a ConfigMap key. It signs the settings cookie and the image-proxy URLs, and the entrypoint's self-generating fallback cannot fire here, so without it the instance would run on the literal "ultrasecretkey" - which webapp.py refuses with exit 1. * All three probes use /healthz, the only path the bot detection lets through unconditionally. Measured: with the limiter active, "/" answers 429 while /healthz still answers 200. ingress.domain is read a second time outside the Ingress template, for SEARXNG_BASE_URL, and carries its own required() there - so it stays mandatory with the Ingress switched off. The Renovate versioning regex deviates from the plan on the issue and matches the commit hash WITHOUT capturing it. Renovate parses a "build" group with Number.parseInt, so a hash becomes the digits leading it; measured on renovate 41.173.1 and 44.48.0, the planned form reports an image pushed earlier the same day as an update to a newer one. Reasoning in the block and in README. |

ci: redact declared secret values from install-test diagnostics
The failure path prints container logs, and an app may print a value it was given - gluetun logs its Wireguard address on startup. diagnose() now runs through a filter that replaces the values of the declared REQUIRED_ENV variables with the variable name. GitHub masks them as well, but that is the platform's promise rather than this harness's, and the script runs locally too, where nothing masks anything. |

ci: run the freesailarr install-test for real instead of skipping it
freesailarr was excluded from the install-test because gluetun never becomes healthy without a real Wireguard key and no app container behind its kill switch can become Ready. The green "Install-test freesailarr pass" was a 25-second SKIP on the most complex chart in the repo - a signal that proved nothing. With a CI-only Mullvad key in 1Password the reason is gone: - ci/run-install-test.sh learns a general rule: ci/<chart>/fixtures.env.yaml is rendered with envsubst before it is applied, restricted to the variable names a chart declares in REQUIRED_ENV. A missing or empty declared variable fails the run loudly and names the variable - it never skips the chart. - The install-test job loads the key from 1Password Connect for freesailarr only, following the pattern publish-helm-chart.yml documents: values via steps.<id>.outputs.*, mapped into the step's own env, quoted, with ":?" guards that name the missing op:// field before a cluster is created. - Fixtures for freesailarr: three media claims, the gluetun secret template with variable names only, firewallOutboundSubnets so the kill switch does not block cluster DNS, and INSTALL_TIMEOUT=900 for nine containers. freesailarr/Chart.yaml goes 3.0.0+up1.0.0 -> 3.0.1+up1.0.0. That bump is deliberately empty of content: the install-test matrix follows changed chart directories, and without it this PR could not run the test it adds. |

Give the Trivy scan render values for freesailarr
ci/run-trivy-config.sh renders every changed chart before scanning it and exits non-zero when the render fails - which it does for freesailarr, because the chart is excluded from the install-test and therefore has no ci/freesailarr/test-values.yaml to fall back on. The scan job would go red without ever scanning anything. The file supplies only the values the chart declares required (secret ref, cluster issuer, the three media claims and one ingress host per app, since the chart has no global ingress.domain) and nothing that would alter the security posture the scan is meant to look at. |

renovate: chart-aware config with an automatic version bump
Renovate only ever rewrites appVersion or an image tag, so every PR it opened against a chart directory failed the build-chart version check (#138, #139). ci/renovate-bump-chart.sh recomputes version: <semver>+up<appVersion> as a postUpgradeTasks hook: chart major when the app major moves, chart patch otherwise. Each chart renders its main image as <repo>:{{ .Chart.AppVersion }}, so repository and version live in different files and Renovate cannot join them. The mapping is one customManager per chart in renovate.json5, deliberately not a comment inside each Chart.yaml - that would touch all 20 chart directories and force 20 publishes for a comment change. Patch and digest updates automerge after a 3-day minimumReleaseAge once the pipeline is green; majors arrive one line at a time to match the stepwise app-major procedure. ci/** stays excluded: the install-test fixtures pin throwaway infrastructure to major lines on purpose. |

rss-bridge: pin the unprivileged-port sysctl, quote env values
Follow-up to the template-chart hardening fixes in #133, which landed while this branch was open. The env block now quotes names, values and keyRef fields. Without it a value like "5" renders as a YAML number and the API server rejects the whole manifest. RSS-Bridge takes numeric settings that way (RSSBRIDGE_http_timeout), so this was reachable with the first env entry anyone adds. The port-80 question is settled by measurement rather than by the "it works in k3d" reasoning #133 warns about. Same pod spec in k3d (k3s v1.35.5), only ip_unprivileged_port_start changed: 1024, capabilities.drop [ALL] nginx: bind() to 0.0.0.0:80 failed (13: Permission denied) 1024, plus NET_BIND_SERVICE identical failure - for a non-root process the capability lands in the permitted but not the effective set, so it buys nothing 0 binds, HTTP 200 So the chart cannot buy safety with a capability the way samba does, and port 80 is not negotiable either: nginx is configured for it inside the image and the entrypoint's only lever is a sed against a read-only /etc/nginx. What it can do is stop depending on the node default - the pod securityContext now pins the sysctl to 0, so the bind no longer relies on cluster configuration. Verified: the chart-installed pod reports 0 and answers 200 through the Service. Worth recording how that failure looks without probes: the entrypoint backgrounds nginx and then execs php-fpm, so a failed bind leaves a container reporting Running with no web server at all. Both test pods above were Running. The probes on /?action=health are what turn it into a pod that never becomes Ready. trivy config still reports 0 to act on; the KSV-0117 statement is updated to the measured reasoning. |

rss-bridge: qualify the image registry, except the port-80 finding
Two findings from the Trivy config scan that landed on main in #129. AVD-KSV-0125 is fixed rather than excepted: writing the image as docker.io/rssbridge/rss-bridge puts a real registry in the registry position instead of "rssbridge", which is what ci/trivy/data/ksv0125.yaml asks for. Verified in k3d that the qualified reference resolves to the same digest (sha256:0eca99b2...) and still runs. AVD-KSV-0117 (containerPort below 1024) becomes a scoped, documented exception. nginx listens on 80 inside the image, and the entrypoint's only way to change that is a sed against /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/default which a read-only root filesystem rejects - so the alternative to port 80 is giving up readOnlyRootFilesystem. The premise of the check does not hold here anyway: the container binds 80 as uid 33 with all capabilities dropped and no NET_BIND_SERVICE. trivy config now reports 0 to act on for this chart. |

rss-bridge: new chart
Takes over the four loose manifests in cluster-config/rss-bridge/ as a proper chart, on the current template-chart standard: strict values schema, null-safe helpers, computed limits, replicas/scaleDown, checksum/config, NOTES.txt. Two things deviate from the repo standard on purpose: - The Ingress models host AND TLS secret name per entry instead of the single conventional tls-<release>-<chart>-ingress. The installation this replaces has grown three separate certificates, one per host. Renaming them would make cert-manager issue three new ones and leave each host unreachable until it did - a self-inflicted outage on a deployment that has been up for over a year. Entries sharing a secret name are grouped into one tls entry, and omitting the name falls back to the convention, so consolidating later is a values change. - Requests and limits are decoupled. The old manifest requested 2Gi of ephemeral storage, identical to its limit, reserving two gigabytes for a workload measured at 2.2 MB after fetching all five whitelisted bridges. The request drops to 64Mi; the limit stays at 2Gi. Hardening was verified rather than assumed. The image ships no USER and runs as root by default, but runs fully hardened once its writable paths are provided: uid/gid 33, readOnlyRootFilesystem, all capabilities dropped, seccompProfile RuntimeDefault. The writable paths were found by running the image with a writable rootfs, exercising every bridge and reading its diff layer - /app/cache, /run, /run/php, /var/lib/nginx. /tmp did not show up that way, because PHP's opcache creates its lock file there and unlinks it immediately; it only surfaced when the hardened container died at startup. Stopping at the first writable path would have shipped a chart that cannot start. Probes use the app's own /?action=health, which renders fixed JSON without touching the cache or any remote site, so neither a scraped site going down nor an unwritable cache can restart the pod. template-chart: seccomp profile, unprivileged port, and two placeholder fixes
Five changes to the scaffold every future chart is copied from: 1. seccompProfile.type: RuntimeDefault in the pod security context, in line with the rest of the seccomp series (#84). Pod context, because from there it also covers init containers and any container added later without being repeated. 2. containerPort 80 -> 8080, clearing AVD-KSV-0117. Note that the usual justification for this does not hold: a non-root container CAN bind port 80 on current Kubernetes, because the kubelet sets net.ipv4.ip_unprivileged_port_start=0 in the pod network namespace. Measured, not assumed - see the values.yaml comment. The reason to stay above 1024 is that this is a runtime default rather than a guarantee, and that every real chart here already does. 3. The ConfigMap placeholder key is renamed from the literal "key" to "example-setting", clearing AVD-KSV-01010 (secret-scanner patterns match any key named "key"). 4. The image placeholder is fully qualified as ghcr.io/ORG/IMAGE, so the template stops teaching the unqualified form that produced the repo's unqualified Docker Hub images. 5. env values are rendered through "quote". Without it a value like "8080" renders as a YAML number and the API server rejects the whole manifest ("cannot unmarshal number into Go struct field EnvVar.value of type string"). Every real chart in the repo already quotes here; only the template did not. Found by instantiating the template and installing it, not by rendering it. Verified by instantiating the scaffold into a working chart per the README procedure and installing it in k3d: the workload becomes Ready, the Service routes to the app on 8080 and an ephemeral container added to the running pod inherits Seccomp: 2 from the pod context. CI: record the paperless-ngx root init container as a documented exception
The pod runs rootless as uid/gid 1000; only init-run-ownership is root, to chown the /run emptyDir that s6-overlay requires to be owned by the runtime uid. Justified in paperless-ngx/values.yaml, so AVD-KSV-0105/-0022/-0106 are excepted for that chart with the reason, instead of being reported as if the workload itself ran as root. |

CI: report Trivy misconfiguration findings for changed charts
Adds a trivy-config job to the PR pipeline that renders each changed chart with Helm and runs `trivy config` over the rendered manifests. Reporting only - TRIVY_CONFIG_MODE=report always exits 0, so the job never blocks a PR. Rendered manifests rather than the chart directory: `trivy config <chart-dir>` renders with default values, which fails on every chart here because of their required() values - and Trivy does not fail with it, it logs "Skipping chart" and prints an empty, green report. Values come from the install-test fixtures (ci/<chart>/test-values.yaml), the only committed per-chart values in the repo; none of them touches securityContext, images or capabilities, so the scan sees the chart's own hardening. Charts without fixtures get ci/trivy/values/<chart>.yaml. Exceptions live in ci/trivy/trivyignore.yaml in Trivy's native ignore-file schema, each with a statement - the script refuses to run without one and reports suppressed findings with their reason instead of hiding them. AVD-KSV-0125 is configured instead of excepted: ci/trivy/data/ksv0125.yaml lists the trusted registries, so the check stays able to flag a genuinely foreign source. Refs #84. |

paperless-ngx: an empty barcodes block falls back to the chart defaults
A "barcodes:" key left without children (e.g. after deleting the last remaining sub-key, PAPERLESS_CONSUMER_BARCODE_SCANNER, which paperless-ngx 3.0 removed) is YAML null and replaced the whole default sub-tree on merge. Rendering then failed on the nil pointer, so the release simply stopped updating. An empty or null block now means "the chart defaults apply". The merge runs through a new paperless-ngx.defaultedDict helper: nulls never delete, nested maps merge recursively, and explicitly set values win - including false and 0, which "default" and "mergeOverwrite" would swallow. A scalar where the defaults define a map is rejected with the values path in the message. Major bump: the meaning of a values override changes. Fixes #61 |

Bring minecraft-server up to the chart style guidelines (1.0.0+upjava8)
Stage 2 of the Fleet migration for minecraft-server. Major bump: runtime behaviour changes (probes, hardening) and the values interface breaks (resource renames, strict schema). Two real bugs first: - The container declared port 35565 while the Service targeted 25565. It only worked because targetPort was numeric. Both are now server.port (25565) and the Service targets the named port. - The download-serverpack init container was guarded by the map .Values.curseforgeServerpack instead of .enabled, so it rendered for every release and silently no-opped on an empty wget URL. Conventions: - Resources renamed to <release>-<chart>-<kind>, templates to <app>.<kind>.yaml. The PVC deliberately keeps its historical name - renaming it would provision a new, empty volume and orphan the worlds. - Probes (liveness/readiness/startup) via the image's own mc-health, so Ready means the server answers a server-list ping. Startup budget 20 min. - Hardened, values-configurable security contexts: non-root uid 1000, read-only root filesystem with an emptyDir at /tmp, all caps dropped. - Resources from values with the limitFactor helper; an unset memory request is derived from the JVM heap so the two cannot drift apart. - Additive env block rendered through tpl, pinned init image, storage class as a value, RCON wiring only when actually enabled. - curseforge/ftb/curseforgeServerpack are now mutually exclusive. - minecraft.version is pinned to the Java line instead of LATEST. - The mc-router auto-discovery annotation is gone; the service type it implicitly switched is now the explicit value server.service.type. Schema pilot (#68): values.schema.json with additionalProperties false on every chart-owned level, rejecting all three known dead keys. |

Update minecraft-server to the java21 line (0.4.0+upjava21)
Last of the three Java-line publishes; main comes to rest on java21, the line of the only running server, and the registry holds all three tags. Only the two version lines in Chart.yaml change. Because the source chart in cluster-config is itself on java21, this final state renders byte-identical to it for mc-ftb-skies-2 with its real values file - the published end state is exactly what cluster-config runs today. The CI install values move along with the appVersion, as in the java17 PR: the JVM is fixed per published chart version and no single Minecraft version boots on all three lines. Since the chart has no probes, a version the JVM cannot load would crash after the rollout returned and still leave a green install-test behind. minecraft.version therefore moves 1.20.1 -> 1.21.1, which is also what ftb-skies-2 sets in its real values file, so CI exercises the production version. ci/ is outside the chart directory and is neither packaged nor published. |

Update minecraft-server to the java17 line (0.4.0+upjava17)
Second of the three Java-line publishes. Only the two version lines in Chart.yaml change; the rendered output differs from the published java8 chart in exactly one line, the image tag. The CI install values move along with the appVersion: the image tag is the Java line, so the JVM is fixed per published chart version and the Minecraft version has to match it (Java 8 runs up to 1.16.5, 1.18-1.20.4 need Java 17). No single Minecraft version boots on all three lines, and because the chart has no probes a version the JVM cannot load would still leave a green install-test behind. minecraft.version therefore moves 1.12.2 -> 1.20.1. ci/ is outside the chart directory and is neither packaged nor published. |

Import minecraft-server chart for Fleet migration stage 1 (java8 line)
Imports the chart from cluster-config functionally unchanged, wires it into the publish/validate/install-test pipelines and publishes it as the first of three Java lines (0.4.0+upjava8). The only deviation from the source chart is the chart-global scaleDown flag plus a server.replicas value, following the satisfactory pattern: two of the three servers stand at 0 replicas in the cluster, which the chart could not express, and Fleet would otherwise start them on reconcile. The default (scaleDown: false) still renders replicas: 1, so the rendering of the running server is unchanged - verified byte-identical against the three real values files for all three Java lines. Known deficiencies (hardening, probes, naming scheme, hardcoded values, missing icon, the misleading mc-router auto-discovery annotations) are left untouched on purpose and are scheduled for stage 2. |

Minecraft-router chart: naming scheme, hardening, probes, values interface
Stage 2 of the Fleet migration for minecraft-router: bring the chart up to the
repo style guidelines. Chart 0.1.1+up1.25.1 -> 1.0.0+up1.25.1 (major: resource
renames, mappings becomes required, probes and security hardening change the
runtime behavior; appVersion unchanged).
- Resources renamed to {{ .Release.Name }}-{{ .Chart.Name }}-<kind>, templates
to <chart>.<kind>.yaml; the deployment label now matches its own selector.
- mappings is required and must not be empty (the old default rendered
"<nil>": "<nil>:25565"); every entry needs domain and internalUrl.
- Ports come from values: server.port (router listen port, also passed as
--port), server.backendPort (default backend port, overridable per mapping),
server.apiPort (--api-binding, used by the probes). Defaults stay 25565 /
25565 / 8080, server.outwardPort keeps its 25565 default and comment.
- _helpers.tpl added (resources/limitFactor and replicas/scaleDown helpers),
resources come from values, no CPU limit.
- replicas value plus the chart-global scaleDown flag.
- Additive env block rendered through tpl (value / secretKeyRef /
configMapKeyRef).
- Values-configurable securityContext.pod / .container with hardened defaults:
non-root uid/gid 10000, readOnlyRootFilesystem, no privilege escalation, all
capabilities dropped.
- Liveness, readiness and startup probes on the mc-router API: GET /routes with
an "Accept: application/json" header (the API router matches on that header
and answers 404 without it).
- icon added to Chart.yaml.
- CI fixture supplies mappings; README chart table entry updated.

Import minecraft-router chart unchanged (Fleet migration stage 1)
Takes the existing mc-router chart over from cluster-config as-is so the deployment can move to Fleet without any change to the rolled-out state. Convention alignment follows in stage 2, the app update in stage 3. The only deviation from "unchanged": Chart.yaml carried name: minecraft-server (copy-paste from the sister chart). The publish job pushes by the glob <directory>-*.tgz while helm package names the archive after the Chart.yaml name, so without this correction the push finds no file. Version 0.1.1+up1.25.1 - chart semver stays at 0.1.1, the +up suffix is repo policy and does not affect rendering. Also wires up CI: publish workflow, change-app-version choice list, install-test values (CI-only node-port override, since 25565 is outside the k3d default range) and the README chart table. |

Strict clusterIssuer also for cyberchef and urlaubsverwaltung
Per the maintainer decision (option a: ingress.clusterIssuer strictly required in ALL charts) the two remaining defaults are removed as well: - cyberchef: drop the letsencrypt default; bump raised from minor to major (6.0.0+up11.4.0) as this is a breaking values change. - urlaubsverwaltung: drop the letsencrypt-issuer default; major bump to 6.0.0+up6.7.0. - CI test-values for both charts now set clusterIssuer explicitly. - apache-tika, gotenberg, cyberchef, homeassistant, patchmon: additive env value blocks rendered through tpl (value, secretKeyRef and configMapKeyRef forms), following the template-chart/outline pattern; patchmon gets separate blocks for the server container and the guacd sidecar. - homeassistant: ingress.className now defaults to nginx; an empty className omits ingressClassName from the rendered Ingress, so the flexible upstream ingress style stays intact. - outline, paperless-ngx: remove the ingress.clusterIssuer defaults (letsencrypt / letsencrypt-issuer) - the value is now strictly required, consistent with the repo-wide ingress standard; CI test-values set it explicitly. Chart bumps: apache-tika 7.2.0, gotenberg 4.2.0, cyberchef 5.2.0, patchmon 5.2.0, homeassistant 4.2.0 (minor); outline 5.0.0, paperless-ngx 10.0.0 (major). |

- Values-driven securityContext for the Synapse pod/container with hardened defaults: runAsNonRoot as uid/gid 1000 (matching the image's previous gosu drop target), readOnlyRootFilesystem, allowPrivilegeEscalation false, all capabilities dropped; /tmp mounted as emptyDir. The now-ineffective UID/GID env vars are removed (the securityContext controls the user). - Naming scheme: delegation Deployment renamed to ...-delegation-nginx-deployment, ConfigMap to ...-delegation-nginx-configmap (references and service selector updated). - matrix.configSecretRef moved to secrets.configSecretRef (repo standard). - Probes for Synapse and the delegation nginx are values-configurable; defaults are the previous hardcoded settings. - Flexible ingress standard: ingress.className (default nginx) and ingress.annotations merged with the cert-manager annotation. - Additive matrix.env block rendered through tpl (value/secretKeyRef/ configMapKeyRef forms). - CI fixtures: secret ref moved, seed job image synced to appVersion. - Chart 4.2.1+upv1.159.0 -> 5.0.0+upv1.159.0 (major; app version unchanged). |

Zipline chart: ingress standard, secret ref structure (conventions batch 3)
Repo-standard flexible ingress (required clusterIssuer instead of the hardcoded letsencrypt-issuer, domain moved from config.domain to ingress.domain, className value, annotations merge, standard TLS secret name), secrets.<name>SecretRef structure, core secret renamed to the standard -secret name, additive tpl-rendered env block, documented PVC naming exception. Major bump 4.1.2+up4.7.0 -> 5.0.0+up4.7.0. |

Calibre-Web-Automated chart: naming scheme, security hardening (conventions batch 3)
All audit findings for the calibre-web-automated chart (#32) in one major bump, 3.1.1+upv4.0.6 -> 4.0.0+upv4.0.6: - Rename StatefulSet, Service, OnePasswordItem secret and Ingress from the inverted <chart>-<release>-cwa-<kind> scheme to <release>-<chart>-<kind>; spec.serviceName and all references follow. Both PVCs deliberately keep their historical names (documented naming exception; renaming would orphan the data). - TLS secret renamed to the standard tls-<release>-<chart>-ingress. - Ingress on the repo standard: ingress.className (default nginx), ingress.annotations merged with the chart-managed annotations, ingress.clusterIssuer now required (was silently defaulted to "letsencrypt-issuer"). - Security hardening, values-configurable via securityContext.pod / securityContext.container: allowPrivilegeEscalation false, all capabilities dropped except the minimal set the s6-overlay init needs (CHOWN, DAC_OVERRIDE, FOWNER, KILL, SETGID, SETUID). Documented deviations: the image must start as root (s6 drops to PUID 1000) and readOnlyRootFilesystem stays false (read-only mode disables PUID/PGID remapping upstream and breaks the ImageMagick policy setup). - Additive env value rendered through tpl (value / secretKeyRef / configMapKeyRef forms). - CI fixtures: secret renamed to the new scheme, clusterIssuer added to test-values. Part of #32. |

Samba chart: security hardening, configurable node ports, values cleanup
- Add securityContext.pod/container values with hardened defaults; the dockur/samba image requires root and a writable root filesystem, so the remaining deviations from the baseline are documented in values.yaml (caps reduced to CHOWN, DAC_OVERRIDE, FOWNER, NET_BIND_SERVICE, SETGID, SETUID; allowPrivilegeEscalation: false) - Make the NodePorts configurable (samba.smbNodePort/netbiosNodePort, defaults 30445/30139 as published before) - Rename secrets.sambaUsersRef to secrets.sambaUsersSecretRef (breaking) - Rename the ConfigMap from -config-cfm to -configmap - Add the tpl-rendered env value convention (value, secretKeyRef, configMapKeyRef forms) - Fix the CI users.conf fixture to the username:uid:groupname:gid:password format the pinned image actually parses - Bump chart to 4.0.0+up4.23.10 Part of #32 |

Update patchmon to 2.1.3
Chart rewrite for the 2.x single-server architecture: one stateless server deployment (frontend embedded, /api served by the same process), no PVC, single service and ingress path, optional guacd sidecar (disabled by default), 2.x env vocabulary (TRUST_PROXY, readonly role), probes send the public hostname as Host header. Fixes #29: all three reported spots (PVC storageClass guard, RWX assets PVC, frontend nginx 'backend' hostname) are removed by this rewrite. |

Update app versions (batch): tika, gotenberg, synapse, rallly, samba, urlaubsverwaltung, voucher-vault, zipline, teamspeak
Nine non-critical app-version bumps, each with a chart patch bump: - apache-tika 3.2.3.0-full -> 3.3.1.0-full - gotenberg 8.26.0 -> 8.36.0 - matrix-synapse v1.149.1 -> v1.159.0 - rallly 4.8.1 -> 4.12.3 - samba 4.23.5 -> 4.23.10 - urlaubsverwaltung 6.5.0 -> 6.7.0 - voucher-vault 1.27.4 -> 1.30.1 - zipline 4.6.4 -> 4.7.0 - teamspeak-server v6.0.0-beta8 -> 6.0.0-beta12.1 (new tag format has no v prefix) Release notes of every chart were checked for environment-variable changes; none of the charts needs an env adjustment. The teamspeak-server install-test is reactivated: beta12.1 ships a valid default license, so the exclusion is removed, CI fixtures are added under ci/teamspeak-server/, and the install-test was verified in a local k3d cluster. README list of excluded charts updated. |

Add install-test stage to the PR pipeline (k3d)
New install-test job in validate-charts.yml: for exactly the charts a PR changes, install them into an ephemeral k3d cluster (pinned k3d v5.9.0, k3s v1.35.5-k3s1) and require every Deployment/StatefulSet to become Ready. Runs non-blocking (continue-on-error) during the stabilization phase. Fixtures live at the repo root under ci/ (not inside chart directories, so they neither trigger publishes on merge nor get packaged): a stub OnePasswordItem CRD, per-chart test values and fixtures (dummy secrets with in-cluster DSNs, throwaway postgres/redis/dex, synapse-generate seed job, static hostPath PVs where charts pin storage classes or need RWX), plus a shared ci/run-install-test.sh harness that also runs locally. Excluded with documented reasons (ci/excluded-charts.txt): satisfactory (multi-GB image), teamspeak-server (TS6 beta license expired, image crashes on start), template-chart (placeholder image). All 14 non-excluded charts verified locally in k3d using only the committed fixtures. |
